The Education offers two big areas of professional performance . Animal Health. Medical and humanitarian attention of pets, animals of company, animals of production and wild fauna; for the maintenance, prevention and restitution of their state of health. Cattle Production. Handling, feeding, genetic improvement and administration of cattle companies, of domestic species and their products, under technical - managerial, efficient and profitable criteria. These thematic areas, framed in the approach of sustainable farming systems, with rational advantage of the natural resources and in harmony with the environmental protection. Also the subject of Public Health is developed, harmonizing the nourishing production with the occurrence of zoonosis disease and food infections, on the health and well-being of the man. And the topic of Technology and Food Health: technology in the food industrialization (milk, meat, concentrates); as well as the sanitary inspection and the protection of the same. The degree of doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Zootecnic is obtained by approving 225 credits during 5 years of study and obtaining the degree of Veterinary Doctor Zootecnist. |
