Professional Program of Stomatology

The graduate of the Faculty of Stomatology from the Universidad Cientifica del Sur is a professional with a solid scientific, humanistic, cultural and ethical formation compromised with society and fully aware of the permanent need of improvement.

He is qualified to act with leadership, creativity and interest on the solution of the more prevalent problems of health of the estomatognatic system from an individual to a community level.

It is a competent professional that works diligently in actions of prevention, treatment and recovery of the state of health of its competence, with clinical judgment, technical abilities at the same time that s/he develops them as a integrated discipline, qualified to develop scientific research and to work anywhere in the country and internationally.

The professional training lasts five years and is distributed in ten cycles. In order to obtain the degree in estomatology, the student should approve 222 credits, of which 216 are mandatory and 6 are elective, plus passing a proficiency test in the English language.

To obtain the Dentist Surgeon diploma, it is necessary to defend and to approve a thesis or another modality that the university determine.
