Professional Program of Stomatology

The practice and the teaching of Stomatology have covered different stages of development across the years. The formation of human resources in Stomatology has been immersed in a process of permanent change in order to improve the quality of the teaching and of the graduate in order to respond to the challenges of the present.

In the last years there has been an increase in our country in the number of forming institutions of professionals in the Program of Stomatology, the current problem being the shortage of qualified good professors, deficient methodologies of education and inadequate infrastructure.  It is necessary to emphasize also that in spite of this increase, the prevalence of oral illnesses has not diminished in our country.

The professional future of the Peruvian dentist is at present immersed within an extremely competitive and globalized world in which its academic formation lacks the forecast of these vertiginous changes leading it to make irreparable errors in the management of its professional practice.
